Metropolitan Property Group ("MPG," "Company," "we," "us," or "our") provides commercial real estate brokerage, business brokerage, and investment sales services throughout Southeast Michigan, including Oakland County, Macomb County, Downriver, and Pontiac. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit our website at themetropolitanpropertygroup.com (the "Site"), interact with our advertisements on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram), submit a Lead Ad or Messenger inquiry, or otherwise communicate with us regarding a property, business listing, or brokerage service.
By using the Site, submitting a form, responding to a Meta Lead Ad, or messaging us through Facebook Messenger or Instagram Direct, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Site or submit information to us.
We collect information that you voluntarily provide to us and information collected automatically through your use of the Site and our advertising campaigns. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:
We do not knowingly collect government identification numbers, financial account numbers, or payment card data through the Site. Do not include this information in any form submission or message.
We collect information directly from you through:
When you submit a Lead Ad on Facebook or Instagram, Meta transfers the information you enter directly into the ad form (name, email, phone, and any custom questions we configure) to Metropolitan Property Group. Meta's own collection and use of your information is governed separately by Meta's Data Policy, available at facebook.com/policy.php.
We use the information we collect for the following business purposes:
Many listings marketed by Metropolitan Property Group are confidential business opportunities. Business names, physical locations, financial statements, tax returns, operating information, buyer offering memorandums, employee information, lease terms, and other proprietary or competitively sensitive information relating to a business acquisition opportunity are treated as confidential and are released only to prospective buyers who have executed a Non-Circumvention, Non-Disclosure & Confidentiality Agreement (NCNDA) with Metropolitan Property Group.
Submitting an inquiry, a Lead Ad response, or a request through the Site does not guarantee access to confidential information. Metropolitan Property Group reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to qualify prospective buyers — including with respect to financial capacity, relevant experience, and stated intent — before releasing any confidential materials, seller identity, or business details. We may decline to release confidential information to any party for any lawful business reason.
Information you provide about a business you wish to sell (financial performance, lease details, employee data, and similar operating information) is treated as confidential seller information and will not be publicly disclosed, marketed, or shared with prospective buyers without your authorization, except as necessary to perform brokerage services on your behalf or as required by law. See our separate Confidentiality Policy for full detail on our NCNDA process and safeguards for business acquisition and seller data.
We do not sell your personal information. We disclose information only in the following circumstances:
Information is never shared for a third party's independent marketing purposes without your consent.
We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, including restricted access to confidential deal files, use of secure e-signature workflows for NCNDA execution, encrypted website hosting, and limiting distribution of sensitive business information to qualified personnel and authorized counterparties. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your information has been compromised in connection with our Site, contact us immediately using the information in Section 17.
The Site uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate the Site, remember preferences, analyze traffic, and support advertising measurement. Categories of cookies used include:
You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting cookies; doing so may affect Site functionality. Where required by law, we will obtain consent before placing non-essential cookies.
Metropolitan Property Group advertises on Facebook and Instagram, including through Lead Ads and Messenger-based lead campaigns, and uses the Meta Pixel on the Site. The Meta Pixel collects information about your browsing activity on our Site (such as pages viewed and actions taken) and allows us to:
When you submit a Facebook Lead Ad, Instagram Lead Ad, or message us through Messenger, Meta transmits the data you provided directly to Metropolitan Property Group for the purposes described in Section 4. We retain and use that data in accordance with this Privacy Policy. You may review or manage your Meta advertising preferences, including "Off-Facebook Activity" controls, directly within your Facebook or Instagram account settings, or through Meta's Ad Preferences tool.
We use Google Analytics to understand Site traffic and usage patterns. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect standard internet log information and visitor behavior in an anonymous or pseudonymous form. This data helps us evaluate use of the Site and improve content and functionality. Google's use of information collected through Analytics is governed by Google's own privacy policy. You may opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. We may adopt additional analytics, advertising, e-signature (DocuSign), or CRM integrations over time; any such tool will be used consistent with the purposes described in this Policy.
If you provide your email address or phone number, we may contact you regarding your inquiry, active transactions, relevant listings, or market updates. You may opt out of non-transactional marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in the email or by emailing John.Gjokaj@gmail.com with "Unsubscribe" in the subject line. You may opt out of text communications by replying "STOP." Opting out of marketing communications does not affect our ability to send communications necessary to service an active inquiry or transaction.
Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of certain uses of your information. Michigan does not currently have a comprehensive consumer privacy statute; however, we honor reasonable requests as a matter of policy. To make a request, contact us using the information in Section 17. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. Note that we may retain certain information as necessary for legitimate business, transactional, or legal recordkeeping purposes, including completed brokerage files and executed NCNDAs.
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including the duration of any active inquiry or transaction, applicable statutes of limitation, Michigan real estate recordkeeping requirements, and our legitimate business interest in maintaining historical deal and CRM records. Confidential business and seller information is retained consistent with our Confidentiality Policy and any executed NCNDA.
The Site and our services are directed to adults engaged in commercial real estate and business transactions. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 years of age. If we learn that we have collected information from a minor, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, contact us using the information in Section 17.
The Site may contain links to third-party websites, including Meta platforms, DocuSign, and listing syndication sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, services, or legal requirements. The "Effective Date" at the top of this page indicates when this Policy was last revised. Material changes will be posted on this page. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
